Weldon Solutions, a leading manufacturer of CNC cylindrical grinders and robotic automation systems, is celebrating a major milestone this month. December 2020 is more than just the end of an unprecedented year at Weldon Solutions, it also marks the company’s 20-year anniversary of employee ownership.
Over the past two decades, Weldon Solutions has continued to innovate and deliver high-quality CNC grinders that customers have come to expect for nearly 50 years. Through the ESOP structure, Weldon Solutions has continued to invest in cutting-edge technologies, including integrated automation solutions using robotics, to expand its offerings and write the next growth chapter in its history.
These investments have fueled steady sales growth, which has increased the value of employee shares and led to ongoing team expansion. Weldon Solutions now has a team of 40 employee owners.
Offering a wide range of cost-effective and flexible robotic solutions to meet a variety of industrial automation needs, Weldon Solutions became a Certified Service Provider for FANUC Robotics, North America’s leading supplier of robotic automation in July 2019. Most recently, Weldon Solutions joined 3M Robotics Network as a Select System Integrator for 3M’s Abrasive Systems Division.
By joining this network, Weldon has direct access to the application engineering team at 3M, a global leader in the abrasives industry, which provides the York-based company with additional technical resources to support material removal system projects and identify alternative tooling solutions for future applications.
“We take a lot of pride in our ability to deliver a wide range of high-quality CNC grinders and investments in our team to expand their skillsets to grow our grinding and automation service offerings. Becoming an ESOP provided us with greater flexibility to grow and deliver increased value and unparalleled service and support to our customers,” said Travis Gentzler, President at Weldon Solutions. “Over the last 20 years as an ESOP, we have continued to recruit and retain top talent, with a specific focus on developing software and technology to provide innovative solutions for a variety of industrial clients.”
