Preparing for growth as product demand increases
While talks of recession and slowdowns continue, things are humming along at Weldon Solutions as we expand our York County headquarters and plan for future growth.
Demand for grinders and custom industrial automation projects from our valued customers has continued to increase. That demand pushed us to expand our production shop and warehouse by 18,000 square feet and our office space by an extra 3,000 square feet. The addition will bring our headquarters facility to 61,000 square feet as we enter 2023.
Even if the country and globe are headed into an economic downturn, Weldon is as busy as ever. With our expanded footprint, we are planning to grow our team to fill that new space, so we’ll be hiring soon as well.
Weldon already has approximately 38 employees, and all have the option to be part owners of the company. Weldon has had an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in place for more than 20 years, and it has long been a powerful recruitment and retention tool for the company.
Weldon is one of approximately 6,500 ESOPs across the country. Since starting our ESOP, employee ownership has spurred new investments in cutting-edge technologies, including integrated automation solutions using robotics, to expand our offerings and grow the business for future generations of employee-owners.
With the global supply chain improving, we are poised for a strong and busy 2023. And with demand on the rise for more industrial products, especially automation solutions, we expect continued company growth. With so much of our work being customized to fit the needs of our customers, there is a constant churn of demand from customers who expect the best products in a timely manner.
