Weldon to bring top-performing grinders, robots to IMTS in September
One of our industry’s most exciting events, the International Manufacturing Technology Show, is less than a month away, and Weldon representatives are gearing up to attend and present some of our most popular machines to the crowd.
We’re bringing three of our top grinder models to IMTS, which is taking place at Chicago’s McCormick Place from September 9 to 14. Weldon experts will be at Booth #236850 in the North Hall and available to discuss all our products.
“We are excited to be displaying again this year at IMTS,” said Weldon President Travis Gentzler. “This show is a great opportunity to not only display our technologies but to also see many new and innovative products all in one place. We especially enjoy getting to catch up with our customers and vendors in person during the week. We look forward to a great week in Chicago.”
First up for our IMTS grinders is the Midas T model. With many straight and angular approach OD spindle and ID spindle combinations to choose, this machine is very versatile. As a fully Weldon-built grinder, it is rugged, high-performance and highly precise, minimizing cycle time and maximizing parts per hour for high-volume applications. A straight OD, angular OD and ID configuration will be featured at the Weldon booth.
Next is the G300F, a sub-model of the G300 family which has never been featured at IMTS. It’s also a multi-spindle, turret-based model grinder which offers application flexibility. This model will be well suited for the automotive market. It includes a rotating turret which allows users to grind multiple part surfaces using wheels coming in from different directions, all in a single setup. The G300 model is a mid-capacity grinder.
Rounding out the grinder selection is an automated version of our small-capacity OD grinder, the AGN4. As one of our top-selling models, it is highly customizable, compact and has several automation options. A straight approach wheelhead model will be on display at the Weldon booth, showcasing a top mounted automation package.
Beyond our grinders, we’ll have Milton the candy-bot onsite giving out Hershey’s chocolate minis. Milton has been part of the Weldon IMTS booth in one form or another for 12 years and is always a crowd pleaser.
Fun fact: Milton hands out roughly 100 pounds of chocolate at every IMTS, one piece at a time. Besides offering a sweet treat, Milton shows off robotic elements including intricate programming, vision and line tracking.
Stop by our IMTS booth and we’ll be glad to discuss how Weldon can help you achieve your automation goals and meet your CNC grinder needs.
