Weldon Solutions, along with all non-critical businesses, have been asked by the Governor of Pennsylvania to cease operations inside our physical building to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. While this will present some challenges for us, we are most concerned with the health of our employees and have agreed to comply with this request as of the end of business March 20, 2020.
Weldon Solutions is proud to announce changes to its grinder sales team as the company continues to expand its workforce. We have promoted Ben Cornbower, a sales engineer and 15-year employee, to Manager of Grinder Sales. On October 24, Travis Gentzler, President of Weldon Solutions, attended a Manufacturers’ Association tour event at Association member EarlBeck Gases & Technologies. His company was awarded a free welding lesson, donated by Earlbeck as part of the event. In a “Pay It Forward” mindset that same evening he donated the lesson to York County Literacy Council (YCLC) ─ where adult students in York County receive free educational classes and tutoring to achieve skills that will help them gain or improve their employment opportunities.
A new Weldon model AGN4 angular wheelhead CNC grinder has been delivered to an aerospace contract facility in sunny Southern California, for grinding a variety of commercial and military aircraft components. Machine qualification was based on Weldon’s ability to successfully grind difficult to cut alloys, such as RENE-41. Special thanks to our west coast representative, Tornquist Machinery, for their efforts to secure this business with a new customer, and for excellent followup after the sale.
